About the role
We are seeking a dedicated English & Literature Teacher to deliver the British National Curriculum to IGCSE and A‑Level students in Nairobi. The role involves guiding learners through complex texts, preparing them for high‑stakes examinations, and fostering a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to IGCSE (0500) and A‑Level (9093) cohorts.
- Design and deliver lessons that develop analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Provide targeted feedback to help students progress from B to A* grades.
- Utilise educational technology platforms to enhance learning and assessment.
- Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding and child protection practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (English & Literature) or equivalent qualification.
- Mandatory registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- 3–5 years of experience teaching the British National Curriculum.
- Proven track record of preparing students for IGCSE and A‑Level examinations with strong results.
