Enterprise Development Officer

About the role

The Enterprise Development Officer will build the capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs through integrated training, coaching, mentorship and business advisory services. The role supports MSMEs to improve performance, adopt digital tools and access financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilize, recruit and enroll eligible MSMEs into programs, including targeting, screening and baseline data collection.
• Design, plan and deliver integrated training on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and digital literacy.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and business advisory to strengthen enterprise management and digital adoption.
• Facilitate access to Equity Group financial products and promote digital business solutions.
• Coordinate program activities, maintain documentation and support monitoring and evaluation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in enterprise development, MSME support, financial or digital literacy, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, entrepreneurship, finance, ICT or related discipline.
• Experience in training adult learners and providing business advisory services.
• Understanding of banking products and MSME financing.

Required skills

• Ability to conduct needs assessments and deliver training interventions.
• Coaching and mentorship skills for entrepreneurs.
• Knowledge of digital business tools and technology adoption.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
