Export Sales Manager

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African region (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan). On behalf of its client, it is recruiting an Export Sales Manager based in Kenya. The role leads and executes the export commercial strategy, oversees distributor networks, identifies new market entry opportunities, manages cross-border trade compliance and builds sustainable market share.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute export sales strategies aligned with corporate revenue goals, assess regional markets and onboard distributors, agents and key retail partners
• Set KPIs and annual sales targets for regional partners, run regular business reviews and develop joint commercial plans and trade activations
• Oversee export pricing, margins, credit terms and currency exposure, and deliver volume and revenue forecasts
• Manage trade spending budgets, distributor rebates and promotional funds
• Work with Supply Chain and Logistics on cross-border shipping, freight and customs clearance, and ensure products meet destination country regulations and trade documentation
• Monitor foreign trade agreements, tariff updates and geopolitical developments affecting export risk

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Export Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related field; MBA or professional export management certification highly preferred
• Minimum 7+ years of sales experience in FMCG or manufacturing, including 3-5 years leading export markets and distributor networks
• Proven track record developing markets in regional export corridors such as East Africa or COMESA
• Cross-cultural agility, strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Negotiating complex multi-year distribution agreements and credit facilities
• Understanding of Incoterms, trade finance (Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees) and gross margin optimization
• Knowledge of export/import documentation, customs compliance and export commercial law
• Proficiency in MS Office
