Field Marketing Officer - Electric Motorbikes, Thika

About the role

M-KOPA is looking for a Field Marketing Officer in Thika to drive sales and market penetration for electric motorbikes. This is a field-based, on-site role based at the company's field offices in Thika, working with employees from different markets across Kenya and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager. It is described as a startup team within a larger company bringing a new product division to life.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sales strategies and conduct field visits to promote and sell electric motorbikes
• Generate and convert leads through field visits, customer referrals, partner networks and community engagement
• Provide product demonstrations and guide customers through the sales process
• Build relationships with customers, local communities, leaders and influencers
• Support marketing campaigns by distributing materials and organising local events
• Collect market data, customer feedback and competitor insights
• Prepare regular reports on sales activities and conversion rates
• Stay current on product features and industry trends related to electric motorbikes

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing or a related field
• Experience in direct-to-consumer sales, preferably in the automotive industry
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel
• Use of mobile sales tools
