Facilitation Consultancy for DREEM Youth Advisory Board Workshop

About the role

WUSC, a Canadian global development organization, is setting up a Youth Advisory Board (YAB) for its DREEM 2.0 initiative, which aims to support refugee, displaced and host community youth, especially young women, in securing dignified work. This consultancy asks a facilitator to design and run a four-day inaugural workshop for the YAB, held in Nairobi, Kenya, with the Acting Project Director, DREEM 2.0, as the reporting line. The term is to be confirmed after selection.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, facilitate and document a four-day workshop (part of a five-day programme including a WUSC induction day) for about 30 participants: 15 YAB members, four Mastercard Foundation representatives and seven DREEM sector leads.
• Strengthen members' understanding of the Board's mandate, governance and strategic advisory responsibilities.
• Build members' leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Co-create the Board's working arrangements, accountability mechanisms and engagement processes.
• Identify collective priorities and initial actions for the Board's work through 2030.
• Assess members' professional development needs and recommend areas of future capacity building.
• Produce post-workshop reporting through to final submission and approval of deliverables.
