Field Sales Development Leader – Coast Region

About the role

The Field Sales Development Leader will head a dynamic team of field sales representatives across Kenya’s Coast Region, driving growth for Mars Snacking brands. You will ensure flawless execution of sales initiatives, optimal distribution, and high‑impact in‑store presence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership and performance management to achieve top‑line financial targets.
• Drive new product penetration through superior in‑store execution and collaboration with Category Management.
• Lead coverage expansion, continuously reviewing service solutions and staffing to maximize sales frequency.
• Manage PICOS execution plans and work directly with distributor partners on in‑store strategies.
• Oversee operational activities, overheads, assets, and Journey Plans to meet KPIs.
• Support distributor demand planning and improve forecast accuracy using customer and sales insights.
• Ensure distributor operational efficiency, quality, food safety, financial compliance, and Joint Business Plans.
• Identify skills gaps and deliver targeted training for Mars and distributor sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in field sales operations or customer management, including line management.
• Proven track record of building brands and launching new products.
• Strong commercial acumen with data‑driven decision‑making.
• Collaborative leader aligned with Mars Leadership Competencies.
