Finance Manager (Healthcare Supplies & Distribution)

About the role

A well-established company importing and distributing medical equipment, orthopaedic supports, physiotherapy and rehabilitation products is looking for an experienced Finance Manager in Nairobi. The Finance Manager oversees financial operations including reporting, budgeting, cash flow, import costing, credit control and statutory compliance, manages the accounts team and works closely with the COO and CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee daily accounting, including bank reconciliations, payment matching and accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage import costing, landed costs, inventory valuation, foreign-currency transactions and international supplier payments.
• Oversee credit control, debt collection, working capital management and customer account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax laws and statutory requirements while keeping accurate records in Odoo or a comparable ERP system.
• Supervise and mentor the accounts team, strengthen internal controls and give financial insights to the COO and CEO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field, with CPA (K), ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a trading, distribution or import business, preferably in healthcare or medical equipment.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, credit control and financial reconciliations.
• Good understanding of import costing, inventory management, foreign-currency transactions and international supplier payments.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills, with integrity and attention to detail.
• Candidates who speak Hindi, Gujarati or Punjabi are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP system
• Excellent knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax requirements
