Financial Analyst – Renewable Energy Portfolio

About the role

Empower New Energy is seeking a sharp, driven Financial Analyst to join its Nairobi team. The role sits at the intersection of financial rigour and strategic decision‑making, supporting the management, optimisation and growth of the company’s Kenyan renewable‑energy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for the existing solar and clean‑energy portfolio.
• Conduct ongoing portfolio analysis, scenario and stress testing, and track key performance indicators.
• Lead due‑diligence processes with lenders for refinancing, ensuring optimal debt sizing and covenant structures.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, investors and lenders.
• Support investment proposals, market‑trend analysis and regulatory assessments.
• Participate in due‑diligence for potential acquisitions and build optimisation models for asset allocation.
• Design data‑collection processes, maintain dashboards and improve data quality and automation.
