About the role

The Fleet Management Assistant II supports the efficient coordination of transport services for the Independent Policing Oversight Authority. This full‑time position is based in Nairobi and focuses on managing vehicle fleets, driver schedules, and related operational records.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of policies, strategies, standards and procedures for transport services.
• Maintain inventory of vehicle consumables, including fuel.
• Implement driver schedules to maximise resource use.
• Monitor vehicle cleanliness, security and safety on and off the road.
• Coordinate the vehicle pool and update all transport‑related records.
• Consolidate data for reports and implement risk‑mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Technician Certificate (minimum 1 year) in Transport/Fleet Management, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid driving licence for the required vehicle class and a passed practical driving test.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
