Founding Lifecycle Systems Architect

About the role

Redki Technologies is building Africa's Device Lifecycle Operating System. As the Founding Lifecycle Systems Architect you will design and orchestrate the entire Redki ecosystem, turning a collection of services into a unified operating model that powers commerce, repair, certification, insurance, financing and marketplace workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document the Redki Device Lifecycle Operating System architecture and platform‑wide standards.
• Design event‑driven workflows, service boundaries and scalable API integration strategies across commerce, repair, insurance and financing services.
• Architect and integrate core components such as the Commerce Engine, Workflow & Marketplace Orchestration, Device Verification, Customer Communication Layer (WhatsApp Business API), Buy‑Now‑Pay‑Later, OpenAI services, and PostgreSQL data architecture.
• Create observability, analytics and documentation frameworks, and maintain architecture decision records.
• Guide implementation teams and external vendors through the rollout of the first production‑ready service journeys.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing complex software systems.
• Strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs and event‑driven architecture.
• Proven ability to build marketplace platforms, workflow automation and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Experience with device‑related services (verification, diagnostics, trade‑in) is a strong advantage.
