Gender Analysis Consultant for BioInnovate Africa

About the role
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is seeking an experienced individual consultant to conduct a gender analysis and develop a comprehensive gender strategy with a year‑one action plan for the BioInnovate Africa programme.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out a thorough gender analysis across the BioInnovate Africa network.
- Develop a gender strategy that aligns with the programme’s objectives and regional context.
- Design a detailed year‑one action plan to implement the gender strategy.
- Prepare a final report summarising findings, recommendations, and the implementation roadmap.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in gender‑related fields (PhD preferred).
- Minimum five years of post‑qualification experience in gender analysis, strategy development, or related consultancy work.
- Proven experience in research, innovation, or development projects within Eastern Africa.
- Ability to provide references from at least three previous clients for similar assignments.
