Global Financial Shared Services Manager

About the role

The Global Financial Shared Services Manager will lead IPA's newly created Shared Services Center within the Global Finance team. You will build the centre from scratch, design end‑to‑end finance processes and manage a small team while serving as the main liaison for country office finance teams and headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Shared Services Center covering accounts payable, journal entry processing, intercompany transactions and bank/balance‑sheet reconciliations for all IPA entities.
• Define and monitor service‑level agreements with country offices and HQ, ensuring timely, accurate processing and query resolution.
• Collaborate with finance staff in country offices to resolve documentation gaps, reconcile discrepancies and support month‑end close.
• Identify automation and process‑improvement opportunities, work with IT and Global Finance to implement them, and develop performance dashboards and KPIs.
• Recruit, onboard and supervise up to three Shared Services staff, set performance objectives, conduct reviews and provide training on accounting tasks and NetSuite.
• Ensure compliance with IPA policies, donor requirements and accounting standards; support internal and external audits.
• Act as primary liaison between the Shared Services Center, country finance teams and Global Finance leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or leading a finance shared services function or similar centralized finance operation.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, journal entry, intercompany and reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a small team, set objectives and develop talent.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple countries and time zones.
• Commitment to compliance, internal controls and continuous improvement.
