Global Head of Risk Management – Technology & Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for shaping and executing a proactive, enterprise‑wide risk management approach for Technology & Operations (T&O) COO, GBS & International Markets. The role can be based in Kuala Lumpur or Bangalore and operates at Managing Director level.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a holistic risk management strategy aligned with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and the Group’s risk appetite.
• Embed risk governance, control programs and risk‑based decision‑making into the first line of defence.
• Lead proactive identification, assessment and escalation of emerging and horizon risks across technology, cybersecurity and operational domains.
• Oversee Risk and Control Self‑Assessments (RCSAs) and Threat Scenario‑Led Risk Assessments (TSRAs) to ensure accurate risk landscape representation.
• Partner with senior T&O leaders, regulators and audit teams to drive issue remediation and support transformation initiatives.
• Provide risk‑focused advisory to senior stakeholders, ensuring risk considerations are integrated into strategic projects.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience (Managing Director or equivalent) in technology and operations risk management.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, regulatory requirements and audit processes.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and embed risk culture across large, complex organisations.
• Strong track record of managing risk in transformation or modernization programmes.
