Head of Programme Design & Quality (Kenya)

About the role

Girls Not Brides is seeking a senior leader to steer programme design and quality across its global impact portfolio. Based in Kenya, you will work with regional heads, the development team and partners to create evidence‑based, donor‑ready programmes that advance the fight against child marriage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for high‑quality programme design across Africa, Asia and Latin America & the Caribbean.
• Strengthen design methodologies, MEAL systems and theory‑of‑change frameworks.
• Oversee the development of fundable proposals and ensure alignment with donor requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑regional learning, support organisational excellence and manage global member engagement.
• Supervise coalition grant portfolios to guarantee quality, impact and compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in designing and delivering donor‑funded international development programmes.
• Proven ability to translate organisational strategy into actionable, fundable programmes.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills, with a track record of influencing diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours to support global teams.
