Head of Sales – Logistics (Kenya)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead commercial strategy for a logistics and freight forwarding client in Kenya. The role focuses on driving market share, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction within the freight forwarding sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country sales strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Drive market growth, revenue generation, and customer retention initiatives.
• Lead all sales disciplines and strategic commercial activities across Kenya.
• Identify growth opportunities through market trend analysis and customer insights.
• Support key customer strategies and negotiate high‑value contracts.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor sales performance, reporting, and pipeline management.
• Achieve annual business plans, budgets, profitability, and market‑share targets.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team, setting clear KPIs and conducting performance reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
• At least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role (Head of Sales, Sales Director, Senior Sales Manager).
• Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth.
• Strong experience in contract negotiation and strategic account management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management or related field.
