Hotel Maintenance Supervisor – Luxury Property

About the role

O’Two Hotels is looking for a practical, guest‑aware Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the upkeep of its two luxury brands, Terra by O’Two and Mar by O’Two. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas, plant zones and back‑of‑house spaces remain safe, functional and aligned with high‑end presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance tasks, job cards, guest‑room defects and public‑area repairs.
• Allocate work to technicians, monitor completion, quality and timing.
• Support planned preventative maintenance for rooms, equipment, public areas and BOH facilities.
• Respond quickly to guest‑related maintenance requests with minimal disruption.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Security, Spa and F&B on defects and room readiness.
• Maintain maintenance records, stock usage, tools, equipment and safety procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and escalate larger works, vendor call‑outs or project needs.
• Assist with pre‑opening snagging, handover, testing and operational readiness when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hotel maintenance experience, preferably in a 4‑star or 5‑star luxury environment.
• Current supervisory role in a similar setting.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call‑outs.

Required skills

• Protel PMS experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and carpentry.
• General maintenance expertise across guest‑room defects.
