Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet Marriott’s high quality standards. Working closely with housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry teams, the supervisor coordinates daily operations to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Communicate room‑assignment changes and issues to the next shift and to the front desk.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching housekeeping staff.
• Act as liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain safety, security and company policies; report hazards, accidents and maintenance problems.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in a hotel or luxury‑service environment.
• Minimum 3–4 years hands‑on housekeeping experience, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Physical ability to lift ≤ 55 lb unassisted and >55 lb with assistance; capable of moving carts on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods during a shift.

Required skills

• Computer literacy – ability to use point‑of‑sale and housekeeping management systems.
