HR Assistant (Entry Level)

About the role

Impala Glass Industries Ltd, a leading glass processing company in East Africa, is looking for a motivated, organised and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join its team in Nairobi. The role suits someone with an HR qualification who knows Kenyan labour laws and wants to support people and organisational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Draft contracts and issue them after approval
• Onboard new employees and offboard employees
• Write and issue HR correspondence, input and verify overtime, and manage leaves
• Handle employee relations and maintain records and filing
• Take meeting minutes (disciplinary or other HR-related)
• Liaise with DOSH and the Labour office, with insurance providers and auditors for compliance
• Support recruitment and provide general HR support

Required profile

• HR certification or an equivalent qualification; previous HR experience is an added advantage
• Good knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and relevant HR regulations
• Strong communication, organisational and confidentiality skills
