Junior and Senior Recruitment Associate

About the role

edge is a talent and team consultancy founded in 2014 in Nairobi, working with start-ups, social businesses and grassroots organisations across East Africa. It is looking for passionate recruiters to lead and support its RightHire services, delivering full recruitment cycles from understanding the client's business and the role to onboarding and the final probation review. Senior Recruitment Associates also take part in executive searches while leading other projects.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the client's business model, growth goals, team structure and needs, and map out the responsibilities and talent profile of the role.
• Research the market and salary budget, advise the sales team on feasibility and timelines, and design recruitment tools and approaches.
• Build a candidate pipeline through networking, direct outreach and LinkedIn, and assess video and written applications and CVs.
• Conduct phone, video and in-person interviews and shortlist candidates.
• Maintain project reports, the applicant tracking system and documentation, and share market insights and client feedback.
• Represent the company at events, identify cross-selling opportunities and support team wellbeing.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a client or project environment, or in recruitment, headhunting and HR processes (4+ years for Senior Associates).
• Good written and verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited resources.
• Ability to work in fast-changing, uncertain environments and meet deadlines.
