HR Business Partner – Investment Platform & Portfolio Companies

About the role

This position is based in Kenya and supports an international technology environment with globally distributed teams. As an HR Business Partner / HR Director you will shape people strategy, drive employee engagement and ensure organizational effectiveness across the investment platform and its portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and align employee contributions with strategic objectives.
• Manage workforce planning and staffing initiatives to ensure the right talent, capabilities, and structure for growth.
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction initiatives.
• Implement and optimise HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, succession planning and off‑boarding.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on HR analytics, employee feedback, engagement metrics, turnover data and business needs.
• Support managers with coaching, people‑related decisions and leadership practices.
• Monitor the effectiveness of HR programmes and continuously improve the employee experience for distributed international teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Director role within an international digital, technology or product‑focused company.
• Proven track record managing end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage HR metrics such as payroll budgets, engagement, retention, turnover and workforce efficiency with measurable business impact.
• Strong project‑management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Results‑oriented mindset with persistence, ownership and ability to turn ideas into measurable outcomes.
