International Supply Chain Senior Officer

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking an International Supply Chain Senior Officer to support country offices in procuring and distributing specialised nutrition goods under global framework agreements. The role involves managing procurement requests, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory procedures, and coordinating international transport.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and process international procurement requests from country offices.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers under Global FWA contracts, conduct bid analysis and ensure best value for money.
• Manage sourcing activities using ProSave and arrange transport of procured items, supporting customs clearance documentation.
• Maintain accurate archiving of procurement and distribution documents and update tracking tools.
• Liaise with country office staff and 3PL providers for shipment delivery by land, air or sea.
• Interpret donor rules, standards and regulations related to international transport and ensure compliance with GDP and MHRA licence.

Required profile

• Understanding of SCI supply chain processes and technical concepts such as import/export controls, incoterms and 3PL modalities, especially for Africa and the Middle East.
• Practical experience with SCI supply chain systems (ProSave, TIM) and offline procurement tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Degree related to business analytics, logistics or business administration.
