Inventory Accountant Assistant

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing organisation, is looking for a detail‑oriented Inventory Accountant Assistant to support both Finance and Stores functions. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, reconciling stock movements and ensuring all transactions are correctly captured in SAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory and accounting records, monitoring receipts, issues, transfers and other movements.
• Reconcile physical stock against system records, investigate variances and report discrepancies.
• Assist with regular stock counts, inventory reconciliations and preparation of related financial reports.
• Support month‑end stock and accounting reconciliations, ensuring SAP entries are complete.
• Collaborate closely with Stores, Procurement, Production and Finance teams.
• Maintain proper documentation for all inventory and accounting transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Practical experience with SAP is mandatory.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and solid understanding of inventory accounting.
• High level of accuracy, analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
