Inventory Officer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Inventory Officer in Ukunda, Kwale County, within the FMCG industry. The role covers stock and raw material control, warehouse supervision and inventory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular and precise stock takes, reconcile discrepancies and update records.
• Manage storage of packaging materials and finished goods to optimise space and accessibility.
• Oversee raw material inventories at collection centres and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Supervise warehouse assistants and make sure they follow inventory handling and storage procedures.
• Maintain accurate bin cards and keep documentation for all inventory movements up to date and compliant.
• Notify the inventory manager promptly about obsolete or damaged stock.
• Review and adjust reorder levels for packaging materials and production inputs to avoid overstocking and understocking.
• Analyse inventory data and produce regular reports to support decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Accounting or as a CPA finalist.
• Proven experience in inventory management or another accounting role.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.

Required skills

• Use of ERP systems and MS Office, with a focus on Excel.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and procedures.
• Organisational, analytical and decision-making skills, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills.
