Key Account Manager – Advertising

About the role

Jumia is seeking a results‑driven Key Account Manager to lead advertising revenue for its brand portfolio across Kenya. You will own the full sales cycle, build media strategies and work closely with internal teams to deliver high‑impact campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Own revenue target for a portfolio of brand accounts and build the hunting list and pipeline.
• Run the full sales cycle from prospecting to campaign launch, upsell and retention.
• Develop media strategies, define objectives, create multi‑channel plans and allocate budgets against the JAS rate card.
• Negotiate commercial terms, rate structures and annual joint business plans.
• Collaborate with Ad Ops, design, data and commercial teams to deliver campaigns and meet KPIs.
• Log all pitches and opportunities in Retool and report performance to brands monthly with actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• 4+ years in digital advertising or media sales with a proven revenue‑target record.
• Experience closing media deals, negotiating rates and securing insertion orders.
• Strong client‑management skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Media planning across display, performance, retail media and social formats.
• Data analysis and campaign reporting using dashboards and large datasets.
