Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Ando is seeking enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join its growing culinary team. You will work in a fast‑paced environment supporting senior chefs across a variety of cuisines, helping to deliver high‑quality meals at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, portion, clean and organize mise en place according to recipe specifications.
• Assist senior chefs with cooking and recipe execution, following directions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with the culinary team, communicating clearly and supporting colleagues during high‑volume periods.
• Support operational tasks such as stock rotation, equipment care, and general kitchen upkeep.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
