Lead Financial Strategy – Nonprofit Sector

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance professional to act as the primary financial advisor for a portfolio of nonprofit clients. In this role you will partner with leadership teams to drive strategic financial planning, ensure compliance, and create measurable impact for mission‑driven organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for multiple nonprofit clients.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee audit preparation and coordinate with external audit firms.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
• Manage client relationships to ensure service excellence and strategic alignment.
• Support and lead accounting teams to achieve client objectives.
• Analyze financial performance and identify strategic opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement best financial practices.

Required profile

• English C1/Advanced proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial management.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams or managing projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with nonprofit organizations, schools, or socially responsible entities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• QuickBooks, Intacct, FundEZ or similar financial systems.
• Payroll platforms such as ADP or Paychex.
