Lead Teacher – Online Primary School

About the role

The Lead Teacher is the instructional anchor for Emi North, an online primary school serving students aged 6‑11. Working fully remotely on Pacific Time hours, you will teach, coach colleagues and serve as a primary contact for families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver group and one‑to‑one classes in English, Mathematics, Innovation and Enrichment, following the Spark‑Discover‑Create framework.
• Provide instructional leadership: observe, coach and support fellow teachers, manage student handoffs and address delivery questions.
• Partner with families, answer queries with clarity, guide them through the Emi model and resolve issues, escalating to the Principal when needed.

Required profile

• Experienced primary‑level teacher with a strong classroom presence.
• Comfortable teaching both small groups and individual students.
• Provides honest, trust‑building feedback to colleagues.
• Calm, solutions‑oriented communicator with families.
• Organised, proactive and adaptable to a fast‑evolving school environment.
• Enthusiastic about online education and able to work full‑time Pacific Time hours.
