About the role

Provide effective legal services to the company, including contract preparation, security perfection, litigation support, and board secretarial assistance.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review agreements, contracts, SLAs, MOUs, leases and other legal documents.
Ensure proper perfection of securities and maintenance of collateral.
Support company secretarial functions such as board papers and action logs.
Manage litigation, monitor legal risks and coordinate compliance audits.
Liaise with external lawyers and provide legal opinions to senior management.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education in Kenya.
Membership of the Law Society of Kenya with a valid practising certificate and Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Minimum three years of professional legal experience.
Knowledge of conveyancing, financial sector security perfection and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

Legal drafting and contract review.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
