Line Quality Controller - Bouquet Making Facility

About the role

A logistics company specializing in perishable goods such as fresh-cut flowers, herbs, cuttings, produce and fruit is recruiting a Line Quality Controller through its recruiter, Stratostaff East Africa. The QC leads a team in the bouquet-making facility, ensures bouquets meet customer specifications and quality standards, and balances production targets with strict quality compliance. The position is based in Tilisi, Limuru.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an assigned production line while balancing output targets with quality standards.
• Perform real-time online and finished product quality inspections against customer specifications and SOPs.
• Conduct intake quality checks, temperature monitoring, post-harvest solution verification and packaging material inspections.
• Identify, correct and escalate quality non-conformances promptly.
• Coach and supervise line team members on flower handling, specifications, machine operation, hygiene and GMP requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks, rejections, temperatures, production activities and training.
• Support sample preparation, finished product verification and dispatch readiness, and work with intake, production, supply chain and quality teams.
• Enforce hygiene, PPE use and health and safety standards on the line.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Quality Control, Logistics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sales and marketing, with thorough product (flowers) knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Kiswahili; able to explain complex technical and procedural requirements clearly.

Required skills

• Experience coordinating supply chain activities, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management and logistics operations.
• Analytical skills, strong communication and organization, and comfort in a dynamic environment.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and supply chain management software.
