Mandera Water Sector Market Assessment Consultant

About the role

The Millennium Water Alliance (MWA) is seeking an experienced consultant to lead a market assessment of the water sector in Mandera County, Kenya. This short‑term consultancy will support MWA’s ongoing efforts to scale quality, sustainable WASH services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive market assessment for the Mandera water sector.
• Collect and analyse data on water supply, demand, service providers, and financing mechanisms.
• Engage with local stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and private sector actors, to gather insights.
• Prepare a detailed report with findings, recommendations, and potential partnership opportunities for MWA.
• Present results to MWA leadership and relevant partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in water sector assessments or related WASH projects.
• Familiarity with the Kenyan context and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
