About the role
The Public Service Commission, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, is offering a 12‑month Mechanical Engineering internship as part of the Affordable Housing Programme (Cohort 2). The role is based in Nairobi and provides hands‑on experience in supporting housing development projects across Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Complete duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by supervisors.
- Document relevant skills acquired in the areas of deployment under the Affordable Housing Programme and marketing project sites across the country.
- Participate actively in mentorship activities and undertake additional responsibilities designed for the programme.
Required profile
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering field from a recognized university.
- Graduated no earlier than 2020.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Have not benefited from a similar programme.

What we offer
- Stipend paid at a rate determined by the Government.
