Office Assistant II

About the role

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is recruiting Kenyan citizens to fill the position of Office Assistant II (Grade IPOA 13, 8 positions). The post sits in the Administration department of the Human Resource and Administration Directorate, in Nairobi or regional offices, and reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Administration or the Assistant Director, Regional Coordination. It covers general routine office services such as cleaning, messengering and tea and catering.

Key responsibilities

• Photocopy, scan and bind documents
• Prepare and serve tea
• Open and close the office daily
• Use the kitchen and basic office consumables
• Organize office errands
• Prepare boardrooms for meetings
• Move office furniture and arrange office space for staff
• Assess and report on areas needing general maintenance and repair
• Collect and collate data to update records
• Support the preparation of reports

Required profile

• KCSE mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in computer applications
