Operations Manager - Security Services

About the role

Q-Sourcing, a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African region, is recruiting on behalf of its client in the security industry. The Operations Manager will oversee and direct all security operations, lead and develop the operations team, and ensure the safety and protection of clients' assets and premises. The role is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead Operations Supervisors and security personnel, including recruitment, training, performance management and mentorship.
• Oversee the deployment and coordination of security guards across posts and client sites, and review and approve duty rosters.
• Monitor and consolidate daily, weekly and monthly operational and incident reports, and ensure incidents are documented accurately and escalated when needed.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with post orders, SOPs and safety procedures.
• Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, complaints and service issues, and resolve operational challenges while managing budgets, resources and equipment.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Criminology, Security Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in security operations, with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Aged 35 years and above.
• Proven leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work under pressure and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and operational reporting tools.
• People management and team development.
