Operations Senior Officer

About the role

The Operations Senior Officer will support the efficient administration and operational processes of the SHF hosted entity, ensuring compliance with UNOPS rules and contributing to the delivery of its programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Strategy and Performance in developing workplans, managing rosters, and monitoring delegations of authority.
• Provide operational training, develop manuals and workflow procedures, and act as the focal point for administration in Nairobi.
• Coordinate quality assurance activities, maintain document repositories, and lead health, safety, security and environmental integration.
• Assist in drafting terms of reference, evaluating proposals, managing contracts and procurement processes.
• Prepare and review grant award requests, draft agreements, monitor budgets and disbursements, and support grant closure.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business administration, public administration, economics, international relations or related field, or a Bachelor’s plus two years experience.
• Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in operations support, grants management or program administration within an international or development context.
• Knowledge of UN/UNOPS contractual, procurement and financial rules and experience in multicultural environments.
