Part‑time WordPress Build Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time WordPress Build Assistant to create fast‑loading, high‑quality client websites using Divi, Elementor and WooCommerce. You will work from briefs or templates and sometimes design layouts from scratch, ensuring clean, responsive, launch‑ready sites.

Key responsibilities

• Build and customize WordPress sites with Divi Builder or Elementor to match client branding.
• Create and configure WooCommerce stores, including product structures and shop layouts.
• Optimize website performance by compressing images, limiting plugins, and maintaining lightweight layouts.
• Apply basic on‑page SEO practices such as metadata, alt tags, heading structure and clean URLs.
• Assist with technical tasks related to rendering issues, plugin configuration, and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with both Divi and Elementor.
• Practical WooCommerce knowledge, including product templates and checkout setup.
• Ability to integrate payment gateways (e.g., M‑Pesa, PayPal, Stripe).
• Attention to detail in spacing, typography, alignment and imagery.
• Solid understanding of hosting environments, cPanel, domain setup, DNS records and backups.
