People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

Standard Bank is hiring a full-time People & Culture Business Partner in Nairobi, at management level. The role acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning People & Culture initiatives with business objectives so that organizations can perform, grow and stay sustainable. It suits an experienced HR Generalist who can balance strategic workforce priorities with day-to-day people management in a complex environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Commerce or a related field.
• Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management with active membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
• 8 to 10 years of HR experience, including at least 8 years of progressive People & Culture work and significant exposure to HR Business Partnering in a large, complex organization.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering People & Culture solutions that improve performance.
• Experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing decision-making.
• Experience in a multinational or matrixed organization working with senior management across different geographies.

Required skills

• Applying and interpreting People & Culture metrics, analytics and impact measures.
• Leading organizational change, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management and culture transformation.
• Building relationships with executives and senior managers and challenging them constructively.
• Technical competencies listed: business acumen, change management, people strategy development, risk management, stakeholder management and influencing.
