About the role
We are seeking experienced linguistics scholars to join our remote, long‑term peer‑review team on a part‑time basis. As a reviewer you will evaluate manuscript submissions for originality, methodological soundness, and relevance to the field.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the novelty and contribution of each manuscript.
- Examine study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
- Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
- Analyze results and ensure conclusions are supported by data.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and flag any ethical concerns.
- Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.
Required profile
- Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in linguistics or a related discipline.
- At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
- Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
- Prior experience as an academic peer reviewer is highly desirable.
Required skills
- Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
