PhD Peer Reviewer – Linguistics (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking experienced linguistics scholars to join our remote, long‑term peer‑review team on a part‑time basis. As a reviewer you will evaluate manuscript submissions for originality, methodological soundness, and relevance to the field.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of each manuscript.
• Examine study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and ensure conclusions are supported by data.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and flag any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in linguistics or a related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as an academic peer reviewer is highly desirable.
