Procurement Officer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Procurement Officer in Mombasa Road. The officer coordinates the day-to-day procurement process, ensuring materials, products and operational supplies are sourced on time at competitive prices and in line with approved quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing: identify and source reliable suppliers, request and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules, and prepare purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Supplier management: build good relationships with suppliers, follow up outstanding orders, resolve shortages, delays, incorrect or damaged deliveries, and keep an updated supplier database.
• Inventory coordination: work with stores, sales, logistics and accounts teams, monitor stock levels, verify delivered goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, and escalate stock shortages and delays.
• Records and reporting: process transactions in the ERP/ODOO system, keep records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices and deliveries, track expenditure, and prepare regular procurement reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in logistics, distribution, construction, building materials or a similar environment.
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, purchase orders and supplier follow-up.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly ODOO.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory coordination.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
