Production Coordinator – Kenya

About the role

The Production Coordinator will manage the full life‑cycle of production process orders for commercial maize seed at Bayer’s processing plants in Kenya. The role ensures accurate SAP and Maestro updates, compliance with internal procedures, and smooth coordination between plant planners, master data teams and shop‑floor staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage processing orders and batch creation from initiation to closure in SAP and Maestro.
• Collaborate with the ERD Master Data team to ensure correct master data setup for each plant.
• Convert planned orders to production orders and issue them to the shop‑floor, confirming goods movements and mass balances weekly.
• Participate in monthly stock counts and maintain documentation for all processing activities.
• Identify and resolve SAP errors, reporting deviations from standard procedures.
• Provide SAP PP module training and support to teammates and EMEA colleagues.
• Support 5S, Tier‑2/3 meetings, visual board accuracy and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

• Proactive communication and follow‑up to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues on SAP processes.
• Commitment to documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
