Professional Restaurant Waitress

About the role

We are looking for a professional restaurant waitress to join our team at Jumba Ruins Monsoon, a laid‑back beach restaurant on the Kenyan coast. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focused on delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Monsoon is renowned for its fresh seafood sourced from local fishermen and an extensive wine selection, offering a serene, secluded setting that values excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service throughout the dining experience, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued.
• Take orders accurately, serve food and beverages promptly, and manage table turnover efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized service area and adhere to hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with basic food preparation and presentation, supporting the kitchen team when needed.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns courteously and in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication abilities, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Experience in food & beverage or food service roles, preferably within a restaurant environment.
• Basic cooking skills are a plus, demonstrating familiarity with simple food preparation tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
