Restaurant Waitress – Beachfront Dining

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Restaurant Waitress to join our beachfront team at Jumba Ruins Monsoon in Mombasa. You will be the first point of contact for guests, guiding them through our menu and ensuring a relaxed, memorable dining experience by the sea.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve dishes and drinks, explain menu items and daily specials.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
• Process payments and handle guest inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain clean and organized tables, service areas, and dining environment.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Experience or familiarity with food‑and‑beverage service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Clear verbal communication skills in English; Swahili or other languages are a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, carry trays safely, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, informal environment.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of food preparation concepts to describe dishes and specials.
