About the role
The Project Development Volunteer will support Acted Kenya’s 3ZERO strategy by ensuring effective grant management, producing high‑quality progress reports, and strengthening internal and external communications. This six‑month volunteer position is based in Nairobi and starts in August 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on contracts and grant agreements to ensure compliance with donor rules.
- Prepare qualitative project progress reports and partner updates.
- Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate smooth information flow.
- Maintain organized filing systems for project documentation.
- Contribute to Acted’s external communication strategy, including fundraising messaging.
- Assist in the development of project proposals aligned with Acted’s programme strategy.
- Support contracting processes and partner liaison activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Development, Political Science or a related field.
- Previous experience in proposal writing, reporting, or grant management.
- Familiarity with the full project cycle in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
