Purchasing Trainee Program

About the role

The Purchasing Trainee Program at Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi offers a hands‑on learning experience within the hotel’s Purchasing department. Reporting to the Training Manager, the trainee will become familiar with procurement processes, contract management and departmental administration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage department contracts and purchasing requests.
• Establish, update and maintain departmental files and records.
• Create databases, perform data entry and support purchasing projects with research and reporting.
• Authorize payments by forwarding receiving documentation and liaise with accounting to reconcile invoices and purchase orders.
• Maintain organized filing systems and provide purchasing planning information by analysing data and trends.
• Adhere to hotel employee rules, wear proper uniform and name‑tag, and perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Procurement or related field from a recognized institution.
• No prior work experience required; less than one year since completion (2025/2026).
• Kenyan citizenship.
• Completed coursework even if not yet graduated.
