RapidPro & InForm Community Engagement Consultant (Digital Impact)

About the role

UNICEF's Digital Impact Division, through its Digital Centre of Excellence, uses RapidPro and InForm in country offices to monitor programmes, engage communities and collect data at scale. The consultancy seeks a RapidPro and InForm Community Manager to keep an active, informed and well-documented user community going, maintain the knowledge base and documentation, give second-level user support and handle the routine administration needed to keep the platforms running. The assignment is remote and lasts 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the RapidPro and InForm user community
• Maintain and expand product resources
• Support product management and evolution
• Provide ongoing user support and platform monitoring

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Five years of professional experience in communication and writing for an external audience
• Experience producing detailed technical product documentation
• Education or work experience in engineering or technical fields
• Experience working with and building open-source communities
• Experience using and deploying T4D and other T4D tools
• Outstanding English writing skills, with logical and analytical writing and the ability to explain technical jargon to a wider audience

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of RapidPro and/or InForm and other digital public goods
