Reconciliation Analyst

About the role

Verto, a cross-border payment platform, is looking for a Reconciliation Analyst to manage the end-to-end reconciliation process for multiple banking partners. You will gather data, analyse and match transactions, and reconcile client deposits, withdrawals, conversions and inter-product fund transfers. The role works closely with payments, trading and middle office functions, and takes part in projects improving automation and process effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Run the daily reconciliation process, including data gathering, analysis and transaction matching.
• Investigate discrepancies, breaks and variances in financial transactions and help resolve them so they do not recur.
• Support the reconciliation framework and contribute to its accuracy and efficiency.
• Help implement process improvements, automation and new systems or tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external banking partners on accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in reconciliation, financial analysis or a related accounting function, preferably in fintech, financial services or payments.
• Knowledge of payment processing, FX transactions and emerging markets is required.
• Comfortable with a 9-hour shift within a 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM window.

Required skills

• Intermediate MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
• Ability to identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail skills.
• Experience with process improvement and automation is a plus.
