Remote Chemistry Expert – Short‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Expert to work remotely on a short‑term, task‑based contract. You will apply advanced chemical knowledge to solve postgraduate‑level problems and support AI model fine‑tuning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Solve advanced chemistry problems, including organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibria, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
• Create detailed, visual explanations using text, diagrams, chemical equations, and annotated structures.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute analytical problem‑solving and structured reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning.
• Explain concepts clearly with simple language, visuals, and simulations when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and logical reasoning abilities.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• LinkedIn profile included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.

What we offer

• $450 per approved task.
• 11‑week contract with a commitment of 40 hours per week (including 4 hours overlap with PST).
