Reservations & Distribution Manager

About the role

The Reservations & Distribution Manager will lead the central reservations function across The Sands Kenya’s portfolio of beach resorts, private villas and dive operations. This role combines revenue optimisation, OTA channel management and team leadership to ensure seamless booking experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage OTA listings, availability, content and optimisation while monitoring rate parity and channel performance.
• Oversee OTA, agent and corporate contracting and identify revenue‑boosting trends.
• Lead, train and support the central reservations team, maintaining consistent standards, response times and providing operational cover during absences.
• Develop procedures and continuously improve reservations workflows.
• Handle direct reservations via email, WhatsApp, phone, website and agent enquiries, ensuring accurate bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests.
• Oversee deposits, invoicing, refunds and coordinate with Finance on payments and outstanding balances.
• Liaise with all Sands Kenya properties to align availability, rates and booking requirements, ensuring consistent reservation procedures across the portfolio.

• Commercially aware with solid analytical skills.
• Ability to balance team leadership with day‑to‑day operational duties.
