Sales & Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Sales & Customer Service Representative will act as the primary point of contact for both new and existing clients, promoting laboratory equipment and supplies. You will combine scientific knowledge with sales techniques to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming inquiries, qualify leads and convert prospects via phone, email and in‑person consultations.
• Explain product specifications, usage and applications, recommending appropriate solutions.
• Prepare price quotations, follow up on proposals, negotiate terms and close deals.
• Provide prompt, polite support for customer issues and log complaints for resolution.
• Maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual accounts to encourage repeat business.
• Record and track orders from inquiry to delivery and invoicing using Microsoft Office.
• Update client database, sales logs and communication history.
• Coordinate with logistics, inventory and management to verify stock and schedule dispatch.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a related science discipline.
• Proven experience in sales, office‑based sales support or customer service; experience with chemical or laboratory products is a strong advantage.
• Ability to quickly learn and articulate technical product details to non‑technical buyers.
