About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales operations for an established shipping agency in Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving volume and revenue growth across designated trade lanes while managing key client relationships and overseeing a sales team.
Key responsibilities
- Drive volume and revenue growth across assigned trade lanes.
- Manage and grow relationships with major shippers, consignees, and trade partners.
- Own P&L responsibility for the assigned region or portfolio.
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve budgeted targets.
- Monitor COC/SOC container mix and optimise equipment utilisation.
- Track competitor activity, freight rates, and market trends across managed trade lanes.
Required profile
- Currently employed with a shipping line or shipping agency.
- Proven experience in liner/agency sales with P&L and team‑management exposure.
- Strong existing client relationships across Kenya/East Africa trade.
- Based in Kenya or willing to relocate.
