Sales Representative - Furniture Showroom

About the role

Victoria Courts is hiring a Sales Representative in its Westlands showroom in Nairobi. The role covers lead generation, client engagement, quotations and order processing, invoicing and delivery coordination, and after-sales support. It calls for product knowledge, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet monthly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet and exceed monthly targets, following up on promotions, offers and product availability.
• Welcome clients in the showroom, identify their needs, recommend products and prepare product demonstrations with the technical team.
• Collaborate with designers and visual merchandisers on layouts and mood boards, and conduct site visits and measurements where needed.
• Prepare quotations, confirm availability, manage order booking and negotiate deals to closure.
• Process payments in line with company policy, liaise with the front desk and warehouse for timely delivery, and act as the main point of contact for clients.
• Build long-term relationships, provide after-sales support, gather feedback, resolve concerns and update the client database.
• Assist with showroom displays, follow company sales policies and share feedback with the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in furniture retail sales.
• Strong track record in sales, client engagement and deal closure.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; self-motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial.
• Team player who collaborates across departments, with a strong sense of responsibility and business ethics.
• Ability to engage confidently with high-end clients and customise solutions to their needs.

Required skills

• Well-versed in CRM practices for maintaining client relationships.
• Product knowledge and understanding of the sales process.
